Bursting with chocolate, this tart is our newest entry in the "delicious desserts" section. Also, the other ingredients put their mark in this recipe. The almonds make the tart nice and crunchy, and some raspberries bring their fresh, well-known flavor. Feel free to improvise other toppings if you prefer.

Ingredients

Steps

1
Done

First, add the butter, sugar, and egg yolk in a bowl. Mix them to combine the ingredients.

2
Done

Add the vanilla extract, baking powder, cocoa powder, and flour. Use a wooden spatula and stir until the wet ingredients combine with the dry ones. Then use your hands and knead until you obtain a firm dough.

3
Done

Preheat the oven to 360 degrees F/180 degrees C.

4
Done

Place the dough on your wooden board and roll it out enough to cover the bottom of a 12 inches (30 cm) round cake tin.

5
Done

Slide the tray into the oven and bake it for the next 10 minutes.

6
Done

Keep the heat running and top the cake with some chocolate chips. Slide the tray into the oven again, for another 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven.

7
Done

Now top the chocolate tart with the final ingredients. Evenly spread the coconut flakes, crushed almonds, raspberries, and strawberries.

I guess I’ve always had a passion for cooking ever since I was a kid when I was mom’s little helper in the kitchen. Even though I wasn’t actually cooking, I was a picky eater, and I focused on bringing more flavor to her dishes, by adding extra herbs and spices I felt might enrich it. Time has passed, and I haven’t changed that much: I am now my girlfriend’s helper. I’m probably too lazy to cook myself as often as I’d wish, but I always come up with the nicest twists for recipes. I add or remove ingredients, and I feel like a “Master of Ideas.” I dubbed myself that, I admit it. Other than flavors, I’m quite into movies, TV series, sports competitions, hiking in nature, traveling, and learning about other things.
