Chicken and Mozzarella Buns

Everybody loves burgers, but not everybody like all those calories. Don’t worry, there are ways of reducing them while still enjoying a burger. In this recipe, you use just half of a regular bun. The burgers are oven baked and filled with chicken instead beef and lots of veggies!

Ingredients Needed for Chicken and Mozzarella Buns

6 mushrooms
1 yellow bell pepper
½ red onion
5 ounces of chicken breast
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
3 ounces of mozzarella
3 burger buns s, sliced in halves

How to Cook Chicken and Mozzarella Buns

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F/200°C.
  2. Chop the mushrooms, bell peppers, red onion, and chicken.
  3. Heat a skillet and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the chicken into the skillet and season it with salt.
  4. Fry for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Crush the meat into small chunks and slice mozzarella.
  6. Heat another skillet and add remaining vegetable oil.
  7. Throw in the mushrooms, red onion, and bell peppers. Stir and fry them for about 1-2 minutes.
  8. Place your buns in a baking tray and top them with veggies, chicken, ketchup, and mozzarella.
  9. Bake them for 15 minutes.
