The simplest method is to use them as topping for a mozzarella omelet, which you fry and then bake in the oven. The cheese melts over the lovely green peas. It looks like a stunningly colorful pie, and guess what? It also tastes amazing!

Ingredients Needed for Cheesy Pea Omelet

1 onion
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
⅔ cup peas
5 eggs
salt
pepper
3.5 ounces of mozzarella
5 mint leaves

How to Make Cheesy Pea Omelet

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F/175 degrees C.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a cast-iron skillet and cook the onion until it becomes translucent.
  3. Add the peas and cook them together.
  4. Crack the eggs and put them in a bowl, sprinkle some salt and pepper and whisk them.
  5. Cut small cubes of mozzarella.
  6. Add the mozzarella in the skillet, over the onion and peas.
  7. Cut small pieces of mint and add it too.
  8. Pour the whisked eggs in the skillet.
  9. Put the cast-iron skillet in the oven and bake the omelet for 20 minutes.
  10. Serve immediately!
