Cheese Saganaki

This Greek or, rather Balkan dish is the definition of cheesiness. It is all about coating some cheese with flour, frying it, and serving it warm. Its outer crunchy layer contrasts in such a delicious way with the cheesy hot interior.

Ingredients Needed for Cheese Saganaki

    ½ cup flour
    4 ounces of sheep's milk cheese (1 thick slice)
    ⅔ cup vegetable oil
    lime wedges for serving

How to Make Cheese Saganaki

  1. Add the flour on a flat plate and coat the slice of cheese with it.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet over low heat, then fry the cheese on both sides until golden brown.
  3. Serve it with some lime wedges.
