Beer Batter Apple Rings with Cinnamon Sugar

Upgraded apple. This is what this easy dessert dish actually is. How? First by coating the rings with a dark beer-based batter and deep-frying them, then by coating them once more, this time with cinnamon sugar. You’ll end up with spicy-sweet disc-shaped flavor bombs.

Ingredients

1 egg white
1 cup flour
salt
10 fluid ounces of dark beer
1 apple, cored and sliced
vegetable oil
¼ cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon

Steps

  1. Add the egg white to a bowl and whisk it until firm.
  2. Add the flour, a pinch of salt, and the dark beer. Keep whisking until smooth.
  3. Fill a cooking pot halfway with vegetable oil and heat it. Coat the apple slices with batter and deep-fry them until golden.
  4. Add the sugar and cinnamon to a smaller bowl. Mix until even.
  5. Coat the fried apple slices with cinnamon sugar. Let them cool and serve.
