Ingredients Needed for Banana Upside Down Cake

7 bananas
3 eggs
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 ½ cups of flour
3 tablespoons of butter
1 cup brown sugar

How to Make Banana Upside Down Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 340°F/170°C.
  2. Use a large bowl and add 5 bananas, eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, and cinnamon.
  3. Use a fork to crush the bananas and mix everything together.
  4. Add the flour and stir to get a smooth batter.
  5. Separately, heat a saucepan and add the butter. Melt it and add the brown sugar.
  6. Bring to a boil and let it simmer until the sauce thickens and gets a dark brown color.
  7. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and add the caramelized sugar.
  8. Slice the remaining bananas and add them over the sugar, in the baking tray.
  9. Add the banana batter on top.
  10. Bake it in the oven for 45 minutes.
  11. Turn it upside down and remove parchment paper.
  12. Serve with ice cream!
