Isn’t Sushi tasty enough for you? Then try this approach! Imagine using bacon slices instead of nori and mozzarella with quail eggs for the filling! It may not be as healthy as your usual sushi but for sure it is richer in flavor.

Ingredients Needed for American Sushi

12 bacon
½ cup grated mozzarella
5 quail eggs, boiled
salt
pepper
½ cup flour
½ cup egg wash
½ cup breadcrumbs
vegetable oil for frying

How to Make American Sushi

  1. Spread all bacon slices on a plastic wrap, 7 underneath and the other 5 on top.
  2. Spread mozzarella all over the bacon surface.
  3. Add quail eggs on the end you want to begin rolling your sushi and roll it carefully.
  4. Cover your bacon roll with flour, egg wash, and breadcrumbs in that exact order.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry it until it turns golden and crispy.
  6. Slice it into 5-6 sushi rolls and serve.

  1. this was great and had lots of “wow” appeal. I used regular hard boiled eggs chopped. Rolled and fried, but decided to cut in half and fry again, the inside of the bacon was cooked, but I wanted it done more.
