Like this gorgeous salty cake, with three different colored layers of cake and a tasty ham and cheese filling. It’s not an easy think to make, but the result is worth the effort!

Ingredients Needed for 3-Color Salty Cake

8 eggs
salt
¾ cup vegetable oil
1 ½ cups of yogurt
3 cups of flour
3 teaspoons of baking powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
3.5 ounces of frozen spinach, thawed
2 tablespoons of black sesame seeds
10.5 ounces of butter
2 cups of heavy cream
1 ½ cups of heavy cream
7 ounces of feta cheese, shredded
7 ounces of ham, shredded
⅓ cup ketchup
1 parsley

How to Make 3-Color Salty Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F/175 degrees C.
  2. Put 2 eggs, a sprinkle of salt, 1/4 cup (65 ml) of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup (110 grams) of yogurt, 1 cup (140 grams) of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and the chili powder in a bowl and mix them on high speed.
  3. Grease with butter a ceramic baking tray of 12 inches/30 cm diameter.
  4. Pour the batter in the tray and bake it for 20 minutes.
  5. Put another 2 eggs, some salt, 1/4 cup (65 ml) of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup (110 grams) of yogurt, 1 cup (140 grams) of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and the spinach in a bowl and mix them on high speed.
  6. Grease with butter a ceramic baking tray of 12 inches/30 cm diameter.
  7. Pour the batter in the tray and bake it for 20 minutes.
  8. Put another 2 eggs, some salt, 1/4 cup (65 ml) of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup (110 grams) of yogurt, 1 cup (140 grams) of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and the black sesame seeds in a bowl and mix them on high speed.
  9. Grease with butter a ceramic baking tray of 12 inches/30 cm.
  10. Pour the batter in the tray and bake it for 20 minutes.
  11. For the filling: add the butter (room temperature) in a bowl and mix it on high speed. Add the heavy cream, shredded feta cheese, and shredded ham. Mix them together.
  12. Boil water in a pan and make two hard-boiled eggs. Let them cool, peel them, and cut each egg in quarters.
  13. Divide the filling into four equal quantities.
  14. Place the first cake layer on a large plate and spread the first layer of ham and cheese filling. Repeat with the second, and the third cake layers. Coat the cake with the remaining ham and cheese filling.
  15. Garnish the cake with ketchup and egg slices. If you want, put also some parsley leaves.
