Broccoli Recipes: A Few Amazing Ways to Cook this Veggie

We all know how healthy cruciferous vegetables are for you! And one of the healthiest in that category is most definitely broccoli. But are you unsure of how to cook it? Here are some broccoli recipes we vouch for.

As a former hater of broccoli, I can honestly say that I have been reformed. Luckily, that was just a “not being open enough to try more” thing, and not an “I have a genetic predisposition to hate its taste” thing. Yeah, for some people, hating on broccoli is written in their DNA and one can only hope they don’t have much trauma when it comes to parents making them eat it.

But for some of us, the problem was just not cooking broccoli recipes that are tasty, healthy and bring out the flavor in this great vegetable. So we’re here to rectify that.

7 broccoli recipes to get your health on

1. Quinoa and broccoli egg muffins

Start your morning with these lovely-looking egg muffins. They are not sweet treats, but cheesy and delicious egg-based snacks made from pleasantly chewy quinoa and mildly crispy yet moist veggies. Whether you serve them warm or cold they’ll help you start your day in a sunny way.

2. Cauliflower and broccoli fritters

If you decide to have a meatless day or you don’t want to eat gluten anymore, make these cauliflower and broccoli fritters, which have halloumi cheese inside. Eat them as a snack or a main dish, with a salad.

3. Broccoli and zucchini soup

This super healthy soup combines broccoli and zucchini with different flavors like garlic, ginger, turmeric, and lime. Cooking it is piece of cake!

4. Broccoli and pomegranate salad

Raw broccoli is crispy, crunchy and fresh, which is exactly what makes this salad so tasty. We’ve also added pomegranate seeds and roasted almond flakes, so you can enjoy it more, and include it more often into your diet because it’s really healthy!

5. Bacon and broccoli pizza

Want to cook up a nice pizza for kids at home? How about trying this one, with bacon and broccoli as its highlights. Using bacon is a good way to having your kids eat broccoli more often, and if that doesn’t make the cut, you can use nitrate-free bacon for an even healthier approach.

6. Cheesy bacon and broccoli pie

Filled with bacon and extra cheesy, this pie really is a bacon fan’s dream come true. Plus, it’s a great way to enjoy some broccoli even if you’re not a fan of it. Mixing it with bacon and cheese really can change your perception of broccoli. Also, this pie cooks rather quickly, so it’s perfect if you have some unexpected guests.

7. Broccoli noodles with beans and parmesan

Is spiralizing the new thing in people’s kitchens? Try and see if you like it. If you don’t have a spiralizer you can use a vegetable peeler or a knife to slice the veggies. We have made some broccoli noodles, and we’ve paired them with some white beans, and then flavored them with parmesan, lemon, and pine nuts. It’s an interesting dish, one we invite you to try as soon as possible.
